James O’Leary Joins DMC Global’s Board of Directors

DMC Global Inc. announced that James O’Leary has been elected as an independent director on its board. O’Leary, with his nearly 40 years of experience in executive leadership and finance, brings expertise from the construction and industrial manufacturing industries to the table.

O’Leary currently has a seat on the board of directors of publicly traded Builders FirstSource, Inc., a leading supplier of structural building products in the US. He has held the position of chairman of Kinematics, a dominant player in the motion control solutions space, since 2015 and has been a director of ProSource Plumbing Supply, a supplier of plumbing supplies, since 2022.

Prior to his current roles, O’Leary served as chairman of BMC Stock Holdings, Inc. before its merger with Builders FirstSource in 2021, having joined BMC’s board in 2014. He also held the position of Chairman and CEO of WireCo WorldGroup, a leading supplier of steel and synthetic rope, from 2017 to 2019. From 2007 until 2013, he led Kaydon Corporation, Inc. as its CEO and Chairman. O’Leary began his career at Deloitte & Touche LLP, and is a CPA in New York.
