On April 1, 2024, Vail Resorts, Inc. announced the appointment of Courtney Goldstein as its new executive vice president and chief marketing officer (CMO). Starting from April 29, 2024, Goldstein will be reporting to Kirsten Lynch, the CEO of Vail Resorts, and joining the company’s executive team.
Goldstein is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience from Comcast and American Express. Her most recent stint was at Comcast, where she served as senior vice president of consumer marketing, growth, and engagement for over 10 years. She transformed the Xfinity consumer experience through data-driven performance marketing using artificial intelligence and emerging technology platforms, and led ecommerce and digital media. Prior to Comcast, Goldstein worked at American Express for 10 years, serving as vice president of consumer card prospect acquisition & customer marketing strategy.
Lynch praised Goldstein’s proven ability to grow subscription business models using data and technology. “Her leadership and experience will be valuable as our company continues to grow the Epic Pass subscription model, launches an innovative new gear membership business, My Epic Gear, and innovates the guest experience through digital technology such as Mobile Pass and My Epic Assistant in the My Epic app,” said Lynch.
In her new role, Goldstein will be responsible for leading the Epic Pass business, data and analytics, digital experience, and marketing for the company’s portfolio of world-class mountain destinations. This includes the new My Epic Gear membership business, as well as rental, retail, and ski and ride school businesses. Goldstein expressed excitement about joining Vail Resorts. “I am inspired by the company’s mission and values – and look forward to leveraging my experience to support the continued momentum of business growth and creating an Experience of a Lifetime for guests in every way they interact with us,” she said.
Vail Resorts runs a chain of premier, close-to-home ski resorts across North America, Switzerland, and Australia, and aspires to deliver unparalleled experiences to its team members and guests.
