Partners Group Enhances Real Estate Business with Three Key Appointments
Global private markets firm Partners Group is bolstering its Real Estate team with the addition of three new senior leaders. This strategic move is aimed at enhancing the firm’s commitment to scaling its real estate business, amid prevailing industry disruption and evolution driven by key trends like decarbonization, changing consumer preferences, and technological advancements.
With over USD 17 billion in assets under management, Partners Group sees higher relative value in alternative and operational real estate as well as in the logistics and residential sectors.
Joining the firm are Karim Habra as Global Co-Head of Real Estate, Stephen McCall as Global Head of Platforms & OpCos, and Henrik Orrbeck as Co-Head of Real Estate Europe.
Karim Habra, joining from Ivanhoe Cambridge where he was Head of Europe & Asia-Pacific, will share the role of global co-head of real estate with Mike Bryant. Stephen McCall, formerly the CEO of edyn Group, is set to oversee the strategy for investing in real estate management teams and operating companies in the newly created role. Henrik Orrbeck, previously a partner at EQT, will be the Co-Head of Real Estate Europe.
Juri Jenkner, President, Co-Head of Investments at Partners Group, expressed optimism about the appointments. He said, “We have a clear strategic vision for growing our Real Estate business. The extensive combined experience of Karim, Henrik, and Stephen will be extremely valuable as we scale and navigate through disruption across occupier markets.”
Since its first real estate investment in 1999, the firm’s Real Estate business has invested USD 28 billion globally and consists of around 100 investment professionals across Europe, the US, and Asia-Pacific.
