Trimble Honors Heavy Civil Contractors with 2024 B2W Innovation Awards
Trimble (NASDAQ:TRMB) today named Bituminous Roadways, Gulf Operators, and Sherwood Companies as the 2024 winners of its B2W Customer Innovation Awards. This North American competition recognizes heavy civil contractors that have demonstrated remarkable Return on Investment results using individual B2W applications and the comprehensive B2W platform. Since the program’s launch in 2017, 27 companies have been acknowledged by the panel of B2W judges.
Minnesota-based Bituminous Roadways earned the ‘Best ROI with the B2W Platform’ award. Kim Scales, IS technology manager at Bituminous Roadways, highlighted the transformative role of B2W in their project management and business operations. “B2W has delivered quantified benefits including operational efficiencies within workflows, streamlined transferring of data between workflows, and the automation and enhancement of data collection and reporting,” said Scales.
Gulf Operators, a civil construction and aggregate supply company in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, received the ‘Best ROI with a Single B2W Application’. They credited their success to replacing traditional tools with B2W Track, which enabled them to standardize and streamline field data capture. Michael Day, estimating manager at Gulf Operators, said, “Better, daily visibility of project performance versus targets helps supervisors make better decisions to solve issues and reduce cost.”
Lastly, the ‘Most Innovative Use of B2W Software’ went to Sherwood Companies. The Tulsa, Oklahoma-based company leveraged B2W Track for a business unit with highly specific municipality-mandated reporting requirements for tracking maintenance on traffic systems. Seth Belt, accounting business analyst at Sherwood Companies, highlighted the key advantages of B2W field reporting, including concurrent and remote completion of field reports, which saves several hours each week.
